Two nights ago,

for the first time in seven months, we had some time alone. We left the kids at home with our domestic help and took a short drive down to Geylang for a quick dinner. That was close to 22 00. I could only leave with my mind at ease after the two kids were tucked into bed. It was not exactly the kind of romantic night out we, or at least I, would like to have on such rare occasions when we had a bit of alone time. Noisy. Humid. Greasy. Several tables with lone men having a late meal. Stall owners hounding us for our order. Durian sellers nearby hawking variants of the exotic fruit. But hey, I’d take it.

I am sold, after reading mc’s blog on wordpress. So it’s bye to my old, largely private blogger account, which I shall delete in a couple of minutes. It’s late, so I’ll mess around with this tomorrow.
